On 26 March 2026, our trusted job fair is making its return … with an exciting new twist!

After 22 successful editions, we’re saying goodbye to the name ‘afstudeerbeurs’. It’s time for a fresh start! Very soon, we’ll proudly unveil a new name and a bold new logo, both designed to reflect the future of talent and work.

While we’re staying true to our familiar location, we’re reimagining the layout and the overall experience. The familiar is getting a fresh makeover – modern, inspiring and all about connection. Our goal? To attract even more visitors and offer an experience that’s both high-quality and unforgettable.

In short: the 23rd edition is one you won’t want to miss.
Registrations open on 1 September 2025 – like always.

GENERAL JOB MARKET

The General Job Market targets companies that recruit broadly – from associate degree students, Professional Bachelor to Master students from all academic disciplines and programmes offered by the partner institutions of Ghent University Association and beyond.

Within the General Job Market there are 2 options to choose from:

3. SILVER: the interuniversity Job Market for Young Researchers 

The Job Market for Young Researchers is organised by the 5 Flemish universities (UGent, KU Leuven, VUB, UAntwerpen and UHasselt) and targets companies interested in recruiting PhDs and postdocs affiliated with these institutions.

In case you combine participation in the interuniversity Job Market for Young Researchers with participation in the general job market – and thus take up 2 booths – you will be given a reduction of 675 EUR.

4. Ghent Capital of Technology Corner 

The Ghent Capital of technology Corner provides a reduced fee for start-up companies located in the Ghent area, that recruit broadly - from associate degree students to MAs, PhDs and alumni. The City of Ghent will cover 25% of the participation cost for companies admitted to this corner. Companies will therefore only pay €375 themselves for participation. 5. North Sea Port Talent Corner 

Job market specifically for companies from the cross-border North Sea Port area: from Ghent to Terneuzen and Vlissingen. This Corner will be set up in cooperation with North Sea Port Talent. 6. TechTransfer & Gentrepreneur Lane 

A job market specifically for start-up companies that are part of UGent TechTransfer and/or Gentrepreneur, the connecting link between researchers and the business world, aiming to stimulate innovation. Companies who want to join this Lane, should contact Simon De Corte: simon.decorte@ugent.be
