Company activities

OIP N.V., established in 1919 as ‘Optique et Instruments de Précision’ in Ghent, specialises in customised electro-optical solutions for defence & space. We leverage our 105 years of experience to deliver precision, reliability, flexibility and cost effectiveness. OIP participates in numerous challenging defence projects and international space programs with the sole intention of excelling. OIP Sensor Systems is the trade name we adopted in 1988 when moving to our current location in Oudenaarde, from which we have been operating ever since, with extensive in-house test skills, as well as state of the art evaluation & cleanroom facilities. In 2024, OIP employs over 125 people, most of them in Engineering, as this remains the cornerstone of our activities. Our team of engineers and scientists works with the latest tools for optical, mechanical & electronic development and embedded software.
