A career counselor can help you understand the value of your transferable skills to your future employers. Are you still not yet sure of your career direction? A career counselor can help you identify opportunities to build professional experience and develop skills and competencies while still at university. Book a face-to-face session with a career counselor at the Job Market for Young Researchers (ICC Ghent, 2nd floor, Baekeland 3).
Secure your consultation appointment after registration. Do not forget to upload a career question you would like to take up with the counselor.
We are constantly on the lookout for extra career coaches. So, do check regularly for vacant slots!
Having registered, you will be able to put together your wish list by ticking the boxes of the companies you wish to visit and the workshops and infosessions you would like to attend. If you make an appointment for a (free) CV analysis and/or speed career coaching session, this will automatically be added to your wish list.
It is possible to dowload your personal wish list as PDF or print it and bring it with you to the fair. Your wish list will help you prepare for the fair and will help you find your way in the ICC on 31 March 2020.

The Ghent University Doctoral Schools, in cooperation with Ghent University Association, host the annual Job Market for Young Researchers where employers can connect with PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to discuss interesting job opportunities. The Job Market for Young Researchers also offers a free resume review service, speed career coaching and a wide range of career development workshops for job seekers. Being prepared is key, so check back regularly for updated information about the Job Market for Young Researchers.

If you participated in last year’s Afstudeerbeurs (edition 2019) you can with one click on the confirm button transfer the data with which you registered to the 2020 edition. These data can, if necessary, be altered. Companies that participated last year can, of course, also choose to register anew, similar to new companies, with a completely new set of data.
You can login with your password or the e-mailaddress that was used for the last edition to registrate your company via the login button on your screen.

Dear companies & visitors
The 2020 edition of the Afstudeerbeurs was unfortunately cancelled as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
We are currently looking into an action plan for the 2021 edition of the job fair. We hope to be able to provide companies interested in participation with concrete details by the end of July.
In the meantime enjoy the holidays!
