During the Afstudeerbeurs 2019 extra attention will be given to student entrepreneurs & start-ups.
The start-up corner can be found on the first floor of the ICC.
Interested in an international internship or career? Do check the displays to be found in the company booths during the fair! On these displays it is indicated in which countries companies operate and whether or not they have international career opportunities for you.
At the Job Market for Young Researchers visitors can choose from a wide range of interactive workshops and hands-on information sessions about the application and job search process - exclusively targeted at doctoral students and doctoral degree holders.

Tune up your CV for interview success at the Job Market for Young Researchers (ICC Ghent, Bauwenszaal, 2nd floor). It is required to book a face-to-face session with an HR-professional in advance. So, register, claim your slot and do not forget to upload your CV!

All other CV analysis slots for PhD candidates and postdocs are fully booked. On 2 April DROP-IN CV consulting will be offered in the Bauwenszaal (2nd floor ICC) between 12:00 and 14:30 and between 16:00 and 18:00. Do not forget to bring ample copies of your CV.

Are you a PhD candidate or postdoctoral fellow who is not yet sure of his/her career direction? A career counselor can help you identify opportunities to build professional experience and develop skills and competencies while still at university. Book a face-to-face session with a career counselor at the Job Market for Young Researchers (ICC Ghent, 2nd floor).
Secure your consultation appointment after registration. Do not forget to upload a career question you would like to take up with the counselor.
Having registered, you will be able to put together your wish list by ticking the boxes of the companies you wish to visit and the workshops and infosessions you would like to attend. If you make an appointment for a (free) CV analysis and/or speed career coaching session, this will automatically be added to your wish list.
It is possible to dowload your personal wish list as PDF or print it and bring it with you to the fair. Your wish list will help you prepare for the fair and will help you find your way in the ICC on 2 April 2019.

The Ghent University Doctoral Schools, in cooperation with Ghent University Association, host the annual Job Market for Young Researchers where employers can connect with PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to discuss interesting job opportunities. The Job Market for Young Researchers also offers a free resume review service, speed career coaching and a wide range of career development workshops for job seekers. Being prepared is key, so check back regularly for updated information about the Job Market for Young Researchers.
If you participated in last year’s Afstudeerbeurs (edition 2018) you can with one click on the confirm button transfer the data with which you registered to the 2019 edition. These data can, if necessary, be altered. Companies that participated last year can, of course, also choose to register anew, similar to new companies, with a completely new set of data.
You can login with your password or the e-mailaddress that was used for the last edition to registrate your company via the login button on your screen.
